About Jen

Jen has fifteen years of years experience leading data and research and evaluation work in the education sector, and three years experience as a coach.

​

She started her career at the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Value-Added Research Center (now the non-profit Education Analytics) where she advised staff at districts and states on incorporating student growth and performance measures into teacher and leader evaluation systems. She spent a year in the classroom in France before working on child and family program evaluation at the University of Texas-Austin. She then spent six years at KIPP Texas Public Schools, starting as a data analyst and leaving as the Director of Research & Evaluation, a team she envisioned and founded. In this role, she worked collaboratively across the organization and with external partners to improve the access to and use of high-quality data and research. After leaving KIPP, she worked in the consulting and edtech spaces for three years (MAYA Consulting, Parsec Education) before founding Winter Coaching & Consulting.

​Jen is certified as an Associate Coach by the International Coaching Federation. She lives in Pennsylvania with her husband and spunky six year old daughter, and is a certified run coach, avid runner, and insatiable book reader.
